On May 15, CGTN Europe invited Remi Piet to discuss the current state of the Argentine economy, especially after the arrival of the new president, Javier Millei, at the Casa Rosada in the capital city of Buenos Aires.
Remi’s intervention was based on deepening how the measures adopted by Millei, in a sharp reduction of public spending, have served to control the worrying monthly inflation levels that occurred in 2023.
Remi also expressed his positive perception of Argentina as a new destination for foreign direct investment, where more and more investment funds, international organizations and governments from all over the world are considering investing.
In addition, the mineral industry is described as one of the main economic attractions of Argentina, where minerals such as lithium in San Juan, Salta and Jujuy are strategic points for the development of new projects that are highly attractive for both the government and multinational companies.
