Following the U.S & EU meeting to discuss the growing demand for the critical minerals needed for the energy transition, Embellie Advisory Senior Partner: Remi Piet PhD, was invited to CGTN America, to explain how the geopolitics of raw materials production is currently developing.
Remi’s intervention focused on how these countries are seeking to promote investment for world production in view of the growing demand for minerals such as (Manganese, Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel) especially in vehicles and electric batteries.
The discussions took place in a context where climate change and the energy transition are increasingly becoming both a state and global policy. However, Remi admits that the importance of these meetings is not so much about securing access to resources, but about how to create a competitive industry from manufacturing, transformation, and clear regulations that respond to current needs.
