Sustainable Mining Investments in Mexico

In this new episode of our series of webinars on local content, community development and sustainable investment in energy and extractive projects, Remi Piet, Ph.D, our Senior Partner at Embellie Advisory is joined by several friends and Mexican mining experts: Armando Ortega (Newgold/Cancham); David Sarquis (UMAR); Ralph Shearing, P.Geol. (Altaley Mining) and Adam McEniry (MaC & Co).

During this webinar we reviewed the likely impact of changes to royalty disbursements, ESG best practices and successful initiatives to reduce above the ground risks.

Together with our panelists we also discussed what to expect in the second part of AMLO’s sexenio : the June 2021 elections have confirmed the president’s popularity, despite the loss of his super majority in Congress, with the victory of MORENA candidates in several states, in particular mining jurisdictions such as Guerrero and Sonora.
